Vinny/Kanna - 1998 - They/He - EST - Marlin

Hello, I am Vinny. Some people call me Kanna. I am an ambiguously queer artist from the eastern side of the USA. I am interested in things such as marine life, fantasy, graffiti, and alt subcultures. I love DIY and to reuse materials if I can when I create things. I also like to put cheap or free art programs or materials to the test. I want to prove that anyone can make something they're proud of, regardless of their budget. I consider my art to be for 18+ audiences.

About my Artwork:

My artwork is usually character-centric, focusing on the anthro animal characters I create and the lives they live. I do not have anything officially released regarding the stories I write, but sometimes my art will give you a little glimpse into their worlds.

Most commonly you will find me making drawings. Typically, my digital 2D artwork is created on my phone using my finger, though sometimes I will just open mspaint and doodle using my mouse.

I'm curious about all sorts of mediums and types of art. I dabble a little bit in graff, 3D modeling, clothing customization, fursuit making, story writing, and much more. One day I hope to try my hand at sculpting, music, ceramics and more sewing-related mediums.

I have been creating art for as long as I can remember, and plan to do so as long as possible.

Commision Information:

Unfortunately, I am not a freelance artist at the moment. So, I will not open for commissions. Though, if you want artwork from me, do keep an eye out on my active social media profiles. Because of the fact I never take commissions, I like to try and make up for it by offering opportinities for free art on rare occasions.

FAQs:

Q: Why did you choose a marlin for your sona? Honestly, it was not something I gave a ton of though to. I had a shark fursona from about 2014-2022, and that is something that sparked my love for marine life. I like to think that marlin and I relate in our fighting spirits, and tendencies to be aloof or solitary. Also, I can't imagine either of us are known for our brain power.

Q: Who made your fursuit? I made my own fursuit! As of right now, this is the first and only attempt I have made at crafting one. It is made up of only a head and tail right now, and I dont plan to do any more for it anytime soon. It is mostly made with foam and fleece. The materials themselves were not super expensive, but it took a long time and a lot of optimism to bring it all together.

Q: When did you start your battle jacket? I began working on my battle jacket September 27th, 2023. I has changed a lot since, and almos constantly gets rearraged or worked on.

Q: Can I DM you? Many of my socials most likely have DMs disbled. I am typiclly a bit aloof, so if I don't know you chances are I will not be likely to respond. If you're a mutual of mine, you are always welcome to try and reach out! Just know I may need a little time to warm up to you. I don't bite, but unless we have some mutual interest or something to talk about I might go a bit cold. But I am still always happy to hear from and get to know people. I may enjoy my quiet and alone time, but I also really enjoy the company of others, sometimes I prefer it.
