Hello, I am Vinny. Some people simply call me Fish. I am a queer artist and marlin fursuiter somewhat around the PGH area. I consider my art and accounts to be for 18+ audiences.

About my Artwork:

My artwork is usually character-centric, focusing on the anthro animal characters. I'm mostly known for drawing marine species. Admittedly, most of my art is focused around my sona.

I'm curious about all sorts of mediums and types of art. I will happily try almost anything. From furry art to graff, battle jackets, 3D avatars, fursuit construction and more, I'm interested in many mediums. I like to reuse supplies or use cheap or free programs whenever possible. My digital art is made with a free drawing app on my phone + my finger, most of the time.

FAQs:

Q: Why did you choose a marlin for your sona? Marlin are my favorite fish, and I like to think that we I relate in our fighting spirits, and tendencies to be aloof or solitary. Also, I can't imagine either of us are known for our brain power. Why a fish? I like fish, and always sorta related more to scalies for some reason.

Q: What does your username mean? It was my previous fursona's Full name, Kanna Gar. However, since I'm no longer using that sona, I've chose to embrace another meaning it has. "Kan nagar" translates in english roughly to "Mining place/Mining town/City of mines" and it inspired me to incorportate mines more into some of my world building, especially since mines are relevant to where I grew up. Though at the end of the day, its just a username people have associated with me for a long time.

Q: Do you take commissions? Unfortunately, I am not a freelance artist at the moment. So, I will not open for commissions. I typically try to partake in Art Fight and try to do other things to offer free art on occassion, but they are rare opportunities.

Q: Who made your fursuit? I made my own fursuit! As of right now, this is the first and only attempt I have made at crafting one. It is a partial, and mostly made with foam and fleece. The materials themselves were not super expensive, but it took a long time and a lot of optimism to bring it all together.

Q: When did you start your battle jacket? I began working on my battle jacket September 27th, 2023. I continue to chip away at it and make adjustments.

Q: Can I DM you? Many of my socials most likely have DMs disbled. I am typiclly a bit aloof, so if I don't know you at all, chances are I will not likely respond. If you're a mutual of mine, you are always welcome to try and reach out! I am just a bit shy until we get a feel for each other.
