Disclaimer: The characters shown here are not all of my characters. But, these are characters you'll most likely encounter often in my comics or artwork!

Setting: These characters live in a small city called Slagridge. It is a Third-class city (in this case, meaning less than 250,000 inhabitants). It orbits a much larger city. Slagridge was once a renowned glass manufacturing and mining hotspot, Slagridge now sits seemingly washed up and underserved. Though, there are plenty of lively spots, and many locally owned businesses. Most inhabitants are marine animals to some degree, but not exclusively. I do have an AU based around a low-fantasy story, but by default, these characters just sorta live in a sandboxy-type setting with no real plot. I have an approximate age range for most characters, but that will likely change as I age also. I may also add a few more I have in my back pocket, or change existing characters as I see fit.

VINNY They/Any - Atlantic Blue Marlin Vinny is my fursona, and thus typically the focus of a lot of my artwork. A creative, an amateur graff writer, and pursuing graphic design. They appreciate art of many kinds, and are passionate about DIY-ing their own creations. Vinny can be air-headed or stupid, but usually means well. Vinny is often times pretty unserious. Maybe a little too into sarcastic humor.  They do have a tendency to use humor as a shield against vulnerability, often in an attempt to change the tone of a conversation away from getting too serious or tense. They have a lot of perseverance too, but that can translate into stubbornness. They prioritize others in a lot of situations, and certain insecurities can lead to them minimizing their own needs. They can have a hard time finding their place sometimes. Vinny is in their late 20s. A lot of Vinny can be a reflection of myself. Many times they can be a vessel for me to express my experiences and views of the world through art.

Avery is a friend of Vinny's. She is very calm, cool, and collected. Though, not afraid to get into a bit of mischief. Avery and Vinny can be a bit affectionate at times but neither of them claim to be a thing. Regardless, they are good friends. Avery usually helps keep Vinny in check through reminding them to chill out and relax. Avery is certainly no pushover, often speaking their mind, though maybe sometimes, during inappropriate times. Avery is in her late 20s. AVERY She/They - King Penguin

GLENN He/Him - Mahi Mahi Glenn can be described as a stick in the mud sometimes. Low energy, grounded in reality, intelligent. He enjoys reading, and he's a realist. Very cut and dry. But, that doesn't mean he's cold or heartless. He can have fun sometimes, but most often seems a bit unemotional. Despite their contrasting personalities, Vinny and Glenn are good friends. Its rumored they dated SUPER briefly, but mutually broke it off realizing they weren't a good fit, yet still remain on very good terms. He may seem often bored no matter what, but he has good time going out and hanging around people. He enjoys company, and is perfectly satisfied quietly sitting around others. Glenn is in his mid to late 20s.

Kira works at a local scrapyard. Mostly specializing in old junk cars. Often taking breaks from work to shoot the shit with Vinny and their gaggle of mutual friends. Sporting a more masculine Rockabilly or greaser-esque style, Kira's always makes sure her pompadour is perfect. Despite her clothes being stained, and skin being scarred. Kira looks intimidating from the surface, and typically has a "resting bitch face". Plus her larger size and rows of teeth can make others initially off put, but she is as sweet as they come. Kira is a problem solver, and usually doesn't rest until she has a solution to whatever is ailing her. Kira is in her late 20s. KIRA She/Any - Tiger Shark

LOUIE He/They - Porcupine Fish Louie is a social butterfly. High energy, a bit rowdy, always looking for the next big event to go to and thing to see. When your mother told you about your friends jumping off the bridges, and asking if you'd follow, Louie would be the one jumping first and egging you on to join after him. He is not to be trusted as designated driver at bars. He parties hard and lives his life to it's fullest. Adrenaline junkie. Full of crazy stories with many more ahead of him, so long as he is careful enough to see tomorrow. He's known for his iconic buck teeth, and ability to swell up his body to a certain degree. He usually does that as a party trick, but it can happen involuntarily under enough stress. Louie is around his mid 20s.

Audrey is extremely laid back. Local gas station convenience store clerk, she often encounters Vinny during snack runs. Audrey is a people person, and hears all sorts of gossip around town. It's easy to tell her your woes, as she's a great listener and easy to talk to. Often offering some solid life advice in return. Audrey seems slightly older than some of the other characters, probably being around her mid to late 30s.  Audrey is due for a redesign so be on the lookout for new art in the future! AUDREY She/They - Great Barracuda

HUTSON He/Him - Leopard Seal Hutson is Kira's boss, and owner of the scrapyard. He's a grouchy old man, constantly chewing on a cigar. He's a bit crusty, covered in loose skin. His shirts are always stained and he typically wears suspenders. He preaches for hard work, but it isn't surprising to find him sound asleep at his desk, cigar still lit and everything. He's a bit greedy and money can certainly motivate him. Despite his gruff exterior, he's got a soft heart in there somewhere. He just doesn't like when you point it out.  He can't do a lot of the hard work around his scrapyard anymore, and does appreciate Kira's help. He's just bad at expressing that. He also acts like he hates Vinny and co, but secretly has a soft spot for "those crazy kids". He seems to be somewhere around his late 60s, early 70s. Hutson is due for a redesign so be on the lookout for new art in the future!

Dr. Cass is the Mayor and/or Mayoral candidate for Slagridge. She seemingly has good leadership qualities and a silver tongue... To some people anyway. The candidate running against her is more incompetent than her, so by comparison Dr. Cass appears more impressive than she truly is. She often verbally voices concern for others but her actions don't carry that same weight. She may just fill the spot where an out of touch politician may be, for the sake of political commentary. Age wise, she appears around her 50s or so.  DR. SELENE CASS She/Her - Cachalot
